November 10: Mars moves into Virgo and will stay in Virgo until beginning of July 2012, which is a very long time. This is because Mars will go retrograde from January 24 until April 14.
So from November 10, 2011, until January 24, 2012, we have Mars in Virgo moving in a forward direction. This means that we will put our energy into working hard and developing our skills. We will be interested in health, diet and exercise. We are organized and detail oriented.
When Mars goes retrograde on January 24 until April 14, we will take a closer look at our health and how we can improve our health and well -being. We might also want to reorganize and clean up our home and work situation. We will notice what is not working and we want to make repairs and improvements. We want to be in a work situation where we can be of service and express our talents.
We might experience health issues if we don't take care of our health, or if we work to hard. Worrying is also very bad for our health and we might see that we need more Yoga and Meditation.
Another issue that will come up with Mars in Virgo is how we point out and communicate what is not working in our relationships and at our work place. To communicate in a way that we can be heard, we need patience and compassion.
January and February 2012:
January 20: The Sun moves into Aquarius, which means we will be more intellectual and intelligent over the next month.
January 23: New Moon in Aquarius. Sun in Aquarius.
Mars turns retrograde the day after the New Moon which means that our actions are slowing down. We could experience a slow down of business and energetic endeavors during this New Moon, even though a New Moon signifies a new beginning. (Saturn and Jupiter squaring the Sun and the Moon.)
So what are we beginning? Looks like we are beginning a critical, thorough and honest review of all our actions in our work, in how we assert ourselves and in how we take care of our health.
We will have to watch how we communicate and assert ourself. Where are we overly critical and where are we afraid of asserting ourselves?
Can we express what we see is wrong in a gentle and compassionate way? If we don't communicate what we see is not working, we will end up getting angry, resentful or plain passive aggressive. These issues will come up when Mars is retrograde in Virgo, which is until April 14.
Virgo was the sign of the Divine Goddess, some thousand year ago. And since the Divine Feminine has been so suppressed and ignored for thousands of years, the Virgo archetype has gotten distorted and misunderstood.
The opposite side of Virgo is Pisces. In Virgo we are are also learning to see the bigger picture, to "not sweat the small stuff" and to surrender to Spirit, instead of worry.
The Divine Feminine is also a theme during this New Moon. Venus, the planet of Love and beauty, is squaring the Nodal Axis, which means we will all want to attract more love and peace in our lives and in our relationships. Venus also conjunct Vesta, an asteroid that got it's name from the "Virgin Vestas", which were powerful female healers during the Roman Empire, who didn't get married.
Venus conjunct Vesta points to independent women and men acting as healers today.
Uranus also conjunct Ceres, another asteroid, this one representing food and nurturing. Here we will break free from whatever hinders us to find the nurturing that we need to blossom and thrive. We are breaking free from war and competition and embracing a more loving and caring way of being in the world. (Uranus and Ceres sextile the New Moon.)
The Sabian Symbol* of this New Moon is: "A deserter from the Navy"!
February 3: Neptune moves into Pisces and will stay in Pisces until 2025:
Neptune went into Pisces last spring and summer, April 4 - August 4. What happened then?
We had severe floods, tornadoes and revolutions. Old regimes where dissolving. Neptune is the great dissolver which will dissolve that which has outgrown it's purpose.
What will we see now during the next 13 years? Since Neptune's "job" is to take us beyond our rational thinking into spiritual and mystical realms, we can expect much spiritual growth, awakening and heart opening.
We could also see more chaos while the old structures are dissolving.
We will all feel more sensitive and compassionate.
Our connection to Nature and the animals will grow stronger. We are going to want to protect those who can't protect themselves, which means the environment, the animals, women and children.
Full Moon in Leo, Sun in Aquarius, February 7, 2012:

We are culminating our humanitarian and intellectual efforts around this Full Moon in a playful and creative way. We have worked very hard in December and January, and we are now ready to have some fun. (Sun and Mercury in Aquarius opposing Moon in Leo.)
Saturn - the planet of work and material structures is turning retrograde and will move backwards until June 25, 2012.
Which means that we will look more closely at our inner psychological structures and conditioning, and let go of old behaviors
that we no longer need. This will play out in our relationships at work and with friends, family and loved ones.
Since Saturn is a "heavy weight" planet, we will feel it's stand still as a bit serious and heavy, right around this Full Moon.
We are also balancing our need for love and peace with our mental and hard working side.
We are going through healing in our relationships, we are learning when to assert ourselves and point out what is not working and when to shut up and be patient. There is a powerful healing of our heart going on, which could bring up some pain from the past.
(Mars in Virgo opposing Venus and Vesta.)
We are less able to take any abuse and manipulation from the people around us, we want to break free from our relationship-fears to be more authentic and true to ourselves. (Venus conjunct Uranus in Aries.)
Freedom to be ourselves is important to us now, even if we are afraid what other people are going to think about us.
The Sabian Symbols for this Full Moon are: "A house boat party" and "A forest fire quenched". We can here see that after a job well done
(A forest fire quenched) we deserve to have a good time and relax the effort (A house boat party).
February 8: Venus moves into fiery Aries and will stay in Aries until March 5. We can expect to want more independence and freedom in our relationships and we will desire excitement and speedy adventures during this time.
February 13: Mercury moves out of intellectual and intelligent Aquarius and into meditative and imaginative Pisces.
Over the next three weeks our thinking will be tuned into spiritual and mystical realms. We will all be more intuitive and sensitive that way.
And right around Valentines day we are extra vulnerable because of a Mercury Neptune conjunction exact on February 13th. We will be sensitive and compassionate in our thinking and talking, which will be nice, since we are getting close to Valentines Day.
There could also be some confusion and misunderstandings in our communications, so we better be careful what we say and how we say it.
February 14 and 15: We have a challenging square between Venus - the planet of love and relationships, and Pluto - the planet of death and rebirth on Valentines Day. This could mean that we will go through a crisis in our relationship, if it's not on stable ground.
We might also have to let go of some old ways of behaving in our relationships. Maturity and patience is called for.
We can expect to feel strong and intense emotions during this time, and the trick is to allow the emotions and let them flow, without abusing our loved ones. Our passions will run strong and this could be a great time for sex or transformational dancing.
February 19: Sun moves into Pisces and conjuncts Neptune in Pisces. The Sun will stay in Pisces until the Spring Equinox on March 20.
Pisces is considered to be the most spiritual of all the astrology signs. It is also the last sign of the zodiac, which means we are finishing up an old cycle, it's time to let go of the past so we can enter the new on the Spring Equinox.
In Pisces we are sensitive, intuitive, compassionate and wise.
What we have to watch out for is escaping through different types of addictions, not taking responsibility and playing the victim.
New Moon in Pisces - Sun in Pisces, February 19, 2012 :

On this New Moon we have Neptune, Moon, Sun, Chiron and Mercury all together in Pisces. What does this mean?
We are beginning a profound spiritual healing time. We will all be more sensitive and intuitive then usual.
We will all be more tender hearted and compassionate then usual.
There will be a dissolving of the old structures going on and we could be experience some chaos and confusion,
in our own life and also in the world at large.
The only thing worth hanging in to will be Love. Which we have always known....
We have a lot of grounding energy going on at the same time, that will help us us not totally disappear into the ethers.
(Pluto in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Taurus. Mars in Virgo.) We will continue to take care of business.
And we are independent and feisty thanks to Venus and Uranus in Aries.
Because of so many planets in Pisces, which is a water sign, we could expect to see more storms and severe weather.
Snow in the mountains!
The Sabian Symbol* for this New Moon is: "Petrified wood that once was a forest" Here we can see that everything comes and goes,
nothing is permanent. Petrified wood is also considered to be a powerful healing stone when we are feeling insecure
and need help to stay strong.
* Each degree of the zodiac have a Sabian Symbol, which were created by Marc Edmund Jones and Elsie Wheeler in 1925 in San Diego.
